Google to launch its first modular smartphone in Puerto Rico
Google says it will unveil a modular smartphone in Puerto Rico this year as part of a pilot program that will allow people to choose their own hardware.

Modular phones have been a thing for awhile now, I don't really see them taking off. Yes the idea is great, being able to swap out parts once theres an upgrade, but theres just too much competition in the phone market. Its not like in PC where most parts are compatible with each other, literally every phone maker is working with their own proprietary hardware.
