Longtime NHL linesman Mike Cvic thinks NHL hockey has only gotten better with age. The 53-year-old skated on NHL ice for the last time on Tuesday, retiring after 29 years.

It's amazing to me that these people can play such a brutal game for so long and still be as passionate about it when they retire as the day they were drafted in. It really goes to show you the level of dedication a lot of these players have for the game.
