6 game suspension for Carcillo for cross check on Winnipeg Jets’ Perreault

The NHL has suspended the Blackhawks' Daniel Carcillo 6 games for cross checking Jets forward Mathieu Perreault.

A little harsh in my opinion. This kind of thing happens in pretty much every NHL game you watch. Had Perreault not got injured there probably wouldn't have been anything more than an on ice penalty. The video released by the NHL department of safety covers why they gave what they did, and they make some very good points, I just don't think 6 games was warranted.
