St. Louis Blues goaltender Martin Brodeur will extend his leave of absence from the team, ESPN.com reported Tuesday.

Brodeur was granted the leave Jan. 14. A statement from the Blues then said, "Brodeur will rejoin the club in one week and his future will be addressed at that time."

Its sad but I think we've seen the last of this great goalie. Looking at his numbers theres one thing that stands out the most to me. He only had 1 losing season in his entire career, including this year which he has gone 3-3. I don't think his heart has been in it this year though. I think he has regretted not retiring as a Devil. I would love to see him come back and play after the All-Star break but I really don't expect it.
